Christmas is so close we can practically smell the Baileys (ok, we might have cracked it open already!). But still, we’ve somehow arrived at this end of year point once again with the festivities about to enter into full dancing-around-the-tree mode.
As such, we wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our wonderful #PearlsGirls, past and present, a very Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter, pressies and bubbles!
By no means has 2021 been a straightforward year, but you gorgeous girls have supported us every step of the way, continuing to allow us to be an amazing part of your special day journeys. For that, we couldn’t be more grateful!
But before we officially clock off to spend time with our families, re-charge the batteries and consume enough prosecco to sink a Below Deck size superyacht, we wanted to reflect on all that’s been achieved at our beautiful North Yorkshire bridal boutique during 2021. Plus, we’re revealing some of the fabulous treats we’ve got in store for you lucky ladies as we enter a brand new year.
For those 2022 brides-to-be yet to say yes to the dress, there’s still time to shop, but we’d encourage you to secure an appointment at The Little Pearl sooner rather than later, as prime time slots are booking up fast!
Following the festive break, we’ll reopen our doors on 5th January and can’t wait to make more #PearlsGirls’ dress dreams a reality. Abella Bridal Arrives
We’re forever keeping our eyes peeled for exciting new designers in the wedding industry that we know will send our #PearlsGirls totally weak at the knees. As such, we were thrilled to welcome the incredible Abella Bridal to become a part of our North Yorkshire bridal boutique’s designer collections in 2021.
Super stylish and oh-so-chic, these dreamy designs are perfect for romantic brides who crave fashion-forward edge. Silhouettes feature stunning corsetry, plunging necklines and the most amazing detailing in ethereal lace appliques, sparkling embellishments and shimmering tulles.

#PearlsGirls At Home Launches
With the first quarter of the year spent in lockdown, our bridal boutique’s doors had to remain firmly closed. But if the restrictions of the pandemic taught us anything, it’s to think outside the box…and that’s precisely what we did with the launch of our #PearlsGirls At Home service.
Though you brides couldn’t come to the boutique until we reopened in April, this virtual in-home bridal experience enabled us to bring the boutique to you! And it proved so popular that it’s something we’ve continued to offer.
Consisting of three steps - a virtual consultation to discuss your wedding plans and style; the selection of four favourite gowns online, which we then post to you; an at-home trying on bridal experience that we’ll join you for virtually to help and advise - it couldn’t be simpler!
The service is perfect for those of you with hectic diaries struggling to book boutique appointments, those who are marrying in the North but that live further afield, or that simply feel more at ease in the comfort of your own home. Our LP Boutique Collection Grows
Another gem to come out of those challenging lockdown periods was our LP Boutique clothing and gift collection. We initially launched the range back in autumn 2020 to enable our much-loved brides to take a little piece of The Little Pearl home with them. And, given brides’ positive reaction, we’ve continued to expand our gorgeous LP collection throughout 2021.
Designed by us and hand created by our talented team, the collection includes gorgeous slogan 100% organic cotton T-shirts - perfect for brides-to-be and their #squads - as well as super cosy hoodies and sweet tote bags. Our favourite 2021 addition has to be our heavenly soy wax candles. Available in a range of colours, slogans and scents, they are a perfect spoil-yourself treat and also make super lush pressies.
The Wedding Industry Awards Announces Finalists
We are beyond excited to reveal that The Little Pearl has been named as a regional finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) 2022 in the Bridal Retailer category for Yorkshire and North East. We won this prestigious title back in 2018 and were also named as a regional finalist in 2019.
We are grateful for all award nominations and wins, but TWIAs are extra special to us as they are voted for by our recent brides who score us on the experience they received and the services we delivered. This is really important as it gives us an insight into how we make our brides feel, the areas in which we excel at and perhaps what we could do to make the experience even more amazing for future brides.
The Bridal Retailer winner for Yorkshire and North East will be decided by a judging panel and announced at an awards evening in January. Keep your fingers (and toes!) crossed for us!
Rachel Rose Signature Collection Extends
We were singleton-on-Love-Island style excited to announce amazing Australian designer Rachel Rose as The Little Pearl’s Signature Designer Collection last year. And our excitement levels have peaked once again as we’ve recently added to this standout line-up of dresses with additional designs handpicked from Rachel’s new Believe collection.
This on-the-pulse designer’s talents mean that her collections feature up-to-the-minute bridal trends, including drop shoulder straps, high-leg splits, flirty corsetry and amazing detachable pieces, such as spectacular sleeves and head-turning overskirts.
Furthermore, Rachel shares our passion for empowering women of all shapes and sizes to look and feel their very best selves on their big day (and always!), so comfort and confidence are also key to her showstopping designs.

2022 LITTLE PEARL TREATS TO COME
Second Fitting Room Underway
With more brides than ever looking to become part of our #PearlsGirls gang, we’re busy designing a second luxury fitting room on the first floor of our North Yorkshire bridal boutique, which will be opening in the new year.
This stunning space will be used for private and relaxed bridal styling consultations, fittings and accessory appointments. We can’t wait for you to see it!
New Collections Landing
A new year = new collections! We couldn’t be more excited for gorgeous gowns arriving in the boutique in January from Stella York, Willowby By Watters and WToo. Ladies, trust us when we say you’re going to LOVE the designs we’ve picked!
There are wow-worthy options for those in search of timeless elegance, regal fabrics and classic silhouettes, as well as to-die-for dresses for those wanting standout style, on-trend detailing and fashion-forward cuts. Watch this space!
Upcoming Events Pending
Finally, we’ll be continuing to bring you a host of exclusive bridal events, ranging from designer days and trunk shows through to accessory styling evenings and too-good-to-be-true sample sales.
The first date for your shiny 2022 diary is our WToo Trunk Show taking place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th February, when we’ll have an extended range of dresses from the WToo collection in the boutique for a limited time along with some extra lush treats.
