Careful consideration goes into selecting the designers we stock here at The Little Pearl to ensure we bring you the freshest and prettiest on-trend wedding dresses that will make your heart skip a beat.
One of the most recent additions to our designer line-up - the AMAZING Rachel Rose - ticks all these boxes...and so much more!
We instantly fell for this uber-talented Australian designer, not only for her standout, luxurious dresses but also her extensive knowledge of what brides really want and need! Styling brides for the last ten years at her family-owned bridal boutique before launching her own range has armed her with an outstanding ability to make women both look and feel their very best (and fierce!) selves.
Forming part of our Little Pearl Signature collection, Rachel’s dresses are created around strong brand values that sit perfectly in line with our own boutique beliefs. In particular, we adore her ‘embrace all’ vision which means her collections cater for all body shapes. Available in sizes 6 to 30 and expertly cut, there is a gorgeous, figure-flattering option to suit every bride-to-be. Furthermore, these high-quality designs can be customised to fulfil a bride’s individual wishes, such as the addition of sleeves, extra support or a shorter hemline.

We’re also huge advocates of Rachel’s girl-power attitude, which is weaved beautifully throughout her brand and hugely resonates with our very own #PearlsGirls club. We share that very same desire to help, uplift and empower every bride-to-be to feel nothing short of incredible on their special day.
Delivering modern luxury and diversity, the Rachel Rose collection is fashion-forward with cool on-trend influences, girly appeal and unmistakable sass. Silhouettes vary from chic, simple column dresses and figure-hugging mermaid designs to pretty-as-a-princess A-lines and ball gowns.
The detailing and fabrics are equally wow-worthy with comfortable and confidence-boosting designs in dreamy tulle, intricate lace and soft crepe, featuring elegant pearl buttons, pretty floral motifs and sparkling embellishment. There’s also a choice of colours, with options ranging from classic hues of ivory, mocha and nude to alternative ice blue.
So, having properly introduced you to the Rachel Rose brand and all it stands for, we’re spotlighting top bridalwear trends for 2021/22 that can be found in her sweep-you-off-your-feet gorgeous Energy collection. We’re also SUPER EXCITED to announce that we’ll have designs from Rachel’s brand new Believe collection landing in the boutique in September. Five Top Wedding Dress Trends For 2021 & 2022
Modern Laces
Mainstay bridal fabric lace gets a sexy update in the Rachel Rose collection. From the contouring lace lines of Moonstone cleverly used to outline the female figure to the on-point illusion lace placement on Invision, these contemporary beauties radiate effortless romance. Floral motifs are also big bridal wear news for 2021/22 as can be seen in botanical-inspired Tink with its trailing 3D botanical lace and sensational off-the-shoulder Chole, designed using exquisite Hibiscus lace for full-on ethereal feels.
Sexy Silhouettes
Rachel has got ceremony-appropriate sexiness down to an absolute tee in her collections. There are figure-hugging designs in magical stretch material such as Tink that perfectly frames the female form, plus Snow with a daringly high leg-split and Invision with sheer illusion detailing and the open back of dreams. Corseted bodices have made a strong bridal fashion return and fit into this flirty trend perfectly. Rachel offers numerous within her collections, like Moonstone and Chloe, complete with beautifully crafted boning for support and style.
Plunging Necklines
While not a newcomer to the bridal trend scene, the love for deep v-necklines is far from faltering. Question is, how low to go?! Within Rachel’s range, flesh-flashing necklines vary from small dips, such as Cloud and Chloe, through to the dare-to-bare incline of Invision. Statement necklines like these can be a super effective way to draw the eye away from a ‘hangup’ area, such as the hips, and can also help narrow the appearance of broad shoulders by drawing the eye line inwards. Cloud is a popular choice with pear-shaped brides looking to balance out proportions as it outlines the chest, cinches in the waist and flows freely over the hips.
Shimmering Fabrics
Move over beading, rhinestones and sequins; there’s a new type of sparkle on the bridal block...shimmer! And my word, are we crushing hard on this trend! To say something is both subtle and striking sounds like a crazy contradiction, but in the case of shimmering fabrics, it works. Less in-your-face than Swarovski adornments but more go-hard than simple satin, it turns heads but in the chicest of ways. For those of you looking to glow up on your big day, check out the soft shimmering loveliness of Rachel’s Tink and Moonstone, which will glitter with fairytale magic from day to night. Meanwhile, if wanting to make a show-stopping statement, Snow will steal your breath away. Sexy, and then some, this “dress of the future” is for all you confident brides out there with its strapless neckline, thigh-high slit and top-to-toe shimmer.
Detachable Overskirts & Wings
Transitional pieces are a huge bridal wear trend for 2021/22, and one that we think will stick around for a fair few seasons to come. Why? Because they offer brides two looks in one, meaning they can easily switch up their look from day to night...and what’s not to love about two ‘big reveal’ moments?! These interchangeable options are also proving popular with couples having dual date weddings due to the pandemic - marrying in a smaller ceremony on day one and saving the big-bash celebrations until a later date - because brides can achieve a differing look for each. Rachel’s Pearl detachable skirt with layers of lush tulle is a perfect example. Brides can wear a simple column or slip style dress from the collection, such as Pearl, for the ceremony and then add the voluminous Pearl overskirt to up the glam for the party sequel. Or for two looks in just the one day flip-reverse it, wearing the overskirt for classic ceremony vibes, then go pared-back elegance come evening. Likewise, Rachel’s incredible Rebel Angel Wings - known as “the modern veil” - provide the dream detachable piece to change up your look. We love the idea of teaming the wings with gorgeous square-necklined Forrest for a whole new level of wow!
